In 2015, 193 countries embarked on a sustainable development trajectory, which by 2030 should lead to better welfare of all the inhabitants of the planet. At the Summit on Sustainable Goals

In 2019, Heads of State and Government announced the “Decade of Action and Accomplishment for Sustainable Development”. Solving the problems of our time requires great resources and joint efforts. Annual exchange of experience, replication of best practices and knowledge can accelerate the process of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and contribute to sustainable development society.

In 2015, Russia, like other countries, accepted the obligation to follow the developed at the UN principles of sustainable development and creates national mechanisms that contribute to the achievement of 17 goals. So, for each national development goal, a plan for its achievement is formed. A particular role is played by the effectiveness of the monitoring system of indicators, capable of objectively measure progress towards goals. Indicators are also important for the preparation of the Voluntary National Review of Sustainable Development Goals in Russia, which will be presented in the summer of 2020 as part of the political forum on sustainable UN development.

? What is the role and contribution of each of the participants in the sustainable development process: governments, business, civil society and academia? How are sustainable development indicators integrated into national strategic documents? How can businesses effectively move

from endorsing and supporting the SDGs to actually integrating the Goals into their business strategy? How can businesses take advantage of the new opportunities that come with the adoption of the UN Sustainable Development Goals?
