Christmas Party is December 18 Each student needs to bring a wrapped movie-theater-
sized candy for a gift swap. Please make sure this is a
candy with NO NUTS, and label who the candy is
from. Do not write who it is for, please.
We are requesting a $5 donation from
each student to cover expenses for the
party. (due December 6) Be on the lookout for an email from your room moms

Upcoming Tests and Quizzes
Water Festival
We are so excited about the upcoming field
trip. If you did not mark to purchase a lunch
from the lunchroom, please remember to
pack a lunch in a disposable sack/container,
and label all items. No sodas are allowed.
The students are responsible for keeping up
with their lunch from home until lunchtime.
Wear layers and comfortable shoes, as we
will be walking outdoors from building to
building.
Studies Weekly 13 vocabulary
1. Compromise- a decision between parties in an
argument where both sides give up something
to reach an agreement.
2. Secede- to formally withdraw from
membership in an organization or group.
3. Society- an organized community of people
who share laws, institutions, and traditions.
4. Loot- to steal things, often during a
destructive event such as a war or riot.
5. Construct- to make or build something.
6. Plead- to beg; to ask with urgency.
7. Dwindle- to become smaller, weaker, or less
numerous.

We will watch the Disney version of the movie
Hercules Friday, December 13 to supplement our
mythology unit. If you would like to send in pre-
popped, pre-bagged popcorn, your teachers would be
