Posse sends students in groups called Posses to some of the top colleges and universities in the

country. A Posse is a multicultural team made up of 10 students. It acts as a support system to ensure

that each Posse Scholar succeeds and graduates from college. Posse Scholars receive four-year, full-

tuition leadership scholarships from Posse partner colleges and universities.

MENTORING TOMORROW’S LEADERS

• Nova High finished the year with 265 members from 8th-12th grades

• 100% of MTL Senior members are expected to graduate

• MTL v.s. Faculty basketball game raised $2,850 for the program

• 20 seniors received an MTL Senior Cord for meeting all the program criteria

DEBATELincoln Douglas Debate:

• 1st place in Varsity and Novice, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Novice/Varsity Congressional Debate

Bronx Science Invitational:

• 1st place in Humorous Interpretation, 4th place in Original Oratory, 5th place in Dramatic Interpretation

Tournament of Champions:

• 1st place in Humorous Interpretation again, making it three years in a row, 2nd in Duo Interpretation, 4th in Humorous Interpretation, 6th in Dramatic Interpretation

Nationals:

• We excelled in Congressional Debate entries for the district qualifiers

• 13 students attending Nationals in Birmingham, Alabama this summer!

• Nova High School NJROTC has continued to maintain a massive enrollment of 200+ cadets for the last three years and is projecting another 200+ enrolment next year.

• Completed 2100 total hours of community service

• The Color Guard Team finished in a top 3 position in the very competitive and strong AREA SEVEN meet!

• 5 Gold and 1 Silver Medal in Individual Drill in three sanctioned AREA SEVEN NJROTC meets.
