Guest Reception There is a guest reception in the Commons immediately ollowing theSaturday night and Sunday morning 11:00 a.m. service. Come and meetDr. Wicker.
Enough
Cynthia is a Southern Baptist missionary in South America. She tells how she and her husband taught health andnutrition in a small village. One out o ve children in Boliviadie beore the age o 2, mainly due to poor nutrition andhygiene. It is a difcult ministry or missionaries who care. She was told that another child had just died o diarrhea.
She spoke honestly to God: How many times have I shown the mothershow to prepare a simple rehydration solution? It costs pennies to makeand could have saved the lie o a child. She learned that the amily hadtaken the little one to a curandero (witch doctor) rather than to a healthprovider.
Traveling home that night, Cynthia got even more candid with God: Ihave had enough! I have seen enough children die to last two lietimes.I cant do this any longer. I want to go home! But she awoke the nextmorning with the thought, This week is Thanksgiving. Like many womenwith crats orientation, she decided to make Thanksgiving cards. As shedid, she came across a special poem. Some o the words began to trulyconvict as well as to reassure her: Thank God there is enough. In Godthere is enough love to cover every mistake, enough light to brighten the
darkest hour, enough power to meet every need. She then claimed Godsprovision to supply all her needs according to His riches in glory in ChristJesus (Philippians 4:19).
As we have thanked God during this special holiday time, we praise Himthat He has enough or us because He is enough. However, there are somany that do not know the truth, because our enough resources havenot reached them. Many in Naples do not die rom malnutrition but
rom the starvation o their souls without hope in Christ. We can invitethem to hear noted author and speaker, Joel Rosenberg. We can bringthem to the Living Christmas Trees. We can support world missions notonly through our existing church budget but through the Lottie MoonChristmas Ofering. The unds are already in the pockets and portolioso Gods people, but they must be released or mission and ministry. ThankJesus or His provision or your lie and then share with others.
