dennis.org to add a prayer request to our daily e-mail prayer line.
As we come near to the end of this liturgical
year, we are reminded that the end is coming
soon. Our Catechism reminds us: Since the
Ascension Christ's coming in glory has been
imminent, even though 'it is not for you to
know times or seasons which the father has fixed by his
own authority' (673). As we gather to worship this day,
may we always be prepared for the coming of the Lord.
“Scripture and Tradition never
cease to teach and celebrate this
fundamental truth: ‘The world was
made for the glory of God.’
St. Bonaventure explains that God
created all things ‘not to increase
his glory, but to show forth and to
communicate it, for God has no
other reason for creation than
his love and goodness.”
Praise the Lord !
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
for His loving kindness is everlasting.
“The Church’s love for the poor...is a part of her
constant tradition” (Catechism of the Catholic
Church , no. 2444). The Collection for the Campaign
for Human Development (CCHD) provides funding
for groups that create lasting change and uplift the
poor in the United States. In the last five years,
over 36% of CCHD’s grants have gone toward ad-
vancing education, supporting economic development, and
improving housing in low-income neighborhoods. You can help
participate in this tradition today.Fight poverty in America.
Defend human dignity. Give to the CCH D Collection.
