The weather turned chilly in the morning towards the end of this week which neatly coincided with our Harvest Celebrations. Thank you for all your food donations. Year 4 gave us a polished perfor-mance yesterday full of humour, singing in the round and with dance. I thought the casting was spot on. There are some lovely photographs of the performance on the Henry's Facebook page. Continuing with the theme of supporting others, we raised £358.27 on World Mental Health Day wearing our yellow. Our grand total for charity this term is: £1191.26 Thank you for keeping the Forest Fun area clear of rubbish, especially the fire pit. Early Years can now enjoy their visits and outdoor learning. It was lovely to sit and chat with so many of you during the Parents' evenings this week. If for any reason you missed to meet, please do make an ap-pointment as soon as you are able. Keeping the re-lationship with school is a vital part to success for your children. Finally, thank you from me for your ongoing support and the many questions of 'how is it going?' It means a lot to me. I am off for a rest and recharge and look forward to the next half term with the run up to the exciting season (I refuse to use the real word just yet!) Have a happy half term break and see you all on November 4th.
Miss C Soan Headteacher

****CALLING ALL YEAR 6 PUPILS****
With an extremely busy first half term coming to an end
we wanted to let you know some of the exciting events
occurring next half term. The role of House Captains
are ones of privilege, pride and responsibility. They are
more than just a title and badge and require dedication
and commitment for an entire year. House Captains will
strive to lead their House in the competitions throughout
the year and will go the extra mile to support and en-
courage all pupils in their house.
Each House will have 2 Captains, 1 boy and 1 girl. Pupils
will need to put themselves forward for the role by mak-
ing a presentation to their house on Friday 8th November.
The presentation should focus on ‘Qualities that would
make me a great House Captain’.
If you feel you would make a great House Captain and
wish to stand for election then please hand your presen-
tation (which may be a Powerpoint or notes) to your form
teacher by Wednesday 6th November 2019. We look for-
ward to hearing from you.
HARVEST FESTIVAL A huge thank you to all parents and children who have kindly donated goods for the Salvation Army. We are over-whelmed by your generosity!

OUR YOUNGEST SUPPORTER? The U9 Rugby teams played some great matches at Blue Coat this week. Here is a young supporter pic-tured here, wearing a Henry's Baby hat in support of her old-er brother.
ROBOTICS NEWS Last Friday, Harry, Freddie and Harrison took part in the Vex Robotics UK competition held in the Senior School Burgess Hall. They finished 9th overall against children who were much older and won the elemen-tary Skills Award following some excellent program-ming and driving!
