ITEM NO. 5
MEETING DATE MARCH 29, 2019
CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS - COUNCIL LETTER
ITEM: City Council Meeting Location
DEPARTMENT: Administration CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL:
BY/DATE: Kelli Bourgeois, March 29, 2019 BY/DATE:
CITY STRATEGY: #1; Safe Community Additional Strategy? #7: Strong Infastructure/Public Services
SHORT TERM GOAL (IF APPLICABLE): N/A Additional Goal? N/A
In response to the recent City Council discussion regarding concerns about the elevator at City Hall and ensuring access for all to City Council meetings, I spoke with Renee about moving the City Council meetings to the Library Community Room. The Community Room is available on Monday evenings and she has tentatively blocked out the room for Council’s use beginning in April and tentatively running through August of this year.
If City Council wishes to formally move the City Council meetings I would appreciate direction, I believe consensus is acceptable but am checking with Jim Hoeft to verify, and we will post the new location and get the word out immediately.
