Will Meet Monday, September 13
6:00 PM at the BCM
All Women Are Invited
Notes Along the Journey,
Mission Mexico Jan. 8-15, 2022 – Our Association has been invited to work again
with our Baptist friends in Pijijiapan, Mexico. We will be doing general evangelism
with some of our sister churches as well as conducting a Discipleship Conference for
pastors and church leaders. If you are praying about joining us, please contact us at
the DBA office so we can share with you more about this trip.
The Task Force – The Task Force that is studying the feasibility of moving our
offices to the BCM and selling our current property has met three times already. At this point we are trying to
meet weekly. Bro. Gary Durham, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church is our chairman. Bro. Lynn King is our
Vice Chairman. Please pray for these men as they lead us in this very important study. Other team members:
Charlie Halliburton, Bill Oakley, Kevin Sellars, Rick Isbell, and Eddie Wilbanks.
GOTM Update – Each year, our TBC churches give to the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions. Part of
this money is returned to the Association from which it came. The TBMB totals all GOTM monies given by
the churches in each Association and returns ten percent of that total to each association. This is Good
News!!! However, we now have GREATER NEWS!!! During the next two years, FIFTEEN PERCENT of
the total given by the churches of the DBA to the GOTM will be returned to our Association. During the last
couple of years, we received about $1800. For the next two years, we will receive about 50% more!!! So, let
me encourage your church to promote the GOTM even more this year. By giving to our state missions offer-
ing, we will be able to bless our own work here in the DBA. By giving to our state missions offering we will
be able to bless he work of the TBMB as well as the work here in the DBA. If you need resources to promote
this offering in your church, please contact us and we will help you with resources.
By-Law and Guideline Updates – Revisions approved at our recent Executive Board Meeting have been in-
cluded in our By-Law and Guidelines. Contact the DBA office for a copy of these updated policies.
Enjoying the Journey,
