Note

“Master Keyed” – indicates that designated locks can be operated by two different keys, one, the “Servant Key” operatesindividual locks, whilst the “Master Key” operates all locks. (This group of locks are referred to as a “Suite”, hencethe term “en-suite” locks). There are limitations to the number of locks that can be master keyed in asingle suite. We recommend that you consult your ASSA ABLOY technical sales consultant in this regard.

MK - Master Keyed

“Keyed Alike” – indicates that designated locks canbe manufactured to be operated by a single standardkey. Locks are described as being “Keyed Alike toStandard Differs”. Alternatively designated locksunder a Master Key or Grand Master Key systemcan also be keyed alike. These are described asbeing “Keyed Alike under Master Key” or “KeyedAlike under Grand Master Key”.

KA - Keyed Alike

“To Differ (i.e. Standard)” – indicates locks can besupplied with a standard range of different keys.The range of different keys available with Pin tumblercylinders is approximately 5000.

KD - To Differ (i.e. Standard)

“GD - Guaranteed Differs” – on special request, up to5000 locks can be supplied with each having a set of2 unique keys

In t roduc t ionUNION offers a range of padlocks, which areideal for commercial, industrial and residentialuse.

The range includes open and closed shacklevariants to suit the particular application, togetherwith a choice of hardened steel or stainless steelshackles.

Introduction

UNION products are guaranteed for 1 year fromthe date of purchase against mechanical faultsarising from defects in materials or design. Inthe unlikely event of your UNION product failingas a result of defective materials or design afree replacement product will be provided.

It is a condition of this guarantee that yourUNION product: • Has been correct ly instal led and

maintained in accordance with theinstructions provided to you at thetime of purchase

• Has not been modified in any way

This guarantee does not apply to mechanicalfaults caused wilfully or negligently, or to thesurface finish of your product.

Proof of purchase must be submitted whenmaking a claim under this guarantee and allclaims must be submitted within 2 months ofyou discovering the mechanical fault of yourUNION product.
