Summary

Symptom 

This note refers to the following problems that may occur in the SAP

Solution Manager Service Desk, particularly regarding the corporate message

(transaction type SLFN):

o In transaction CRMD_ORDER , there is no authorization check forthe installed base component (authorization object B_NOTIF_IB).

o In the Transaction Monitor (transaction CRM_DNO_MONITOR ), thefollowing problems may occur if the authorization check for the

installed base component (authorization object B_NOTIF_IB) has been

activated there (BAdI implementation AI_SDK_CRM_DNO_MON is active).

- As the number of Service Desk messages increases, theperformance of the monitor deteriorates noticeably.

- The authorization check for the installed base component does

not work if you do not explicitly restrict the selection to the

transaction type for Service Desk messages (SLFN) in the

selection screen of transaction CRM_DNO_MONITOR.

- Messages with no assigned installed base component are not

displayed.

o Monitor variant AI_SDK_022 ("My special areas")

- After you refresh the results list, messages are displayed that

should not be selected by this variant.

Reason and Prerequisites

This is due to a program error and a missing function.

Solution

SAP Solution Manager 3.20Import the specified Support Package (correction instructions are not

available for an advance correction).

SAP Solution Manager 4.00Import the specified Support Package or implement the correction

instructions in advance.

Prerequisite for the advance correction about the correctioninstructions:If you want to implement the correction instructions in advance, you must

first manually create the BAdI implementation AI_SDK_EXT_AUTH_CHK as

follows:

1. Log onto the system in German (language DE).

2. Call transaction SE19.

3. In the "Implementierung anlegen" field group, enter BAdI

CRM_ORDER_AUTH_CHECK in the "BAdI-Name" field and choose "Impl.

anlegen".

4. Enter AI_SDK_EXT_AUTH_CHK as the BAdI implementation name.

5. Enter the description "erweiterte Berechtigungsprüfung" as the short

text of the implementation and save the AI_SDK_EXT_AUTH_CHK

implementation. Assign the AI_SOLAR_SDK_BASE package for the object

directory entry.

6. Activate the AI_SDK_EXT_AUTH_CHK BAdI implementation .

This BAdI implementation provides an authorization check for the B_NOTIF_IB

authorization object in transaction CRMD_ORDER. Possible activities are

Display or Change in combination with a specific installed base component.

If no installed base component is maintained in a support message

(transaction type SLFN), no additional authorization check is carried out

either. The extended authorization check is activated in Customizing.

o Call transaction DNO_CUST04.

o Choose the pushbutton "New Entries".

- Field name: AUTHORITY_CHECK

- Description: Extended authorization check

- Field value: X

- Choose "Save".

 Additional changes specific to the monitor variant AI_SDK_022("My special areas")

o Call transaction SE38.

o Enter the CRM_DNO_SERVICE_MONITOR program, and execute the "Goto ->

Variants" function (Ctrl+F1).

o Enter the AI_SDK_022 variant and execute the "Variants -> Change ->

Change values" function.

o Change the entries on the selection screen so that the selection

options are as follows:

- Status: Option "Not Completed" and status values E0002, E0004

and E0010

- Transaction Type: SLFN

- SAP Component: exclude the following single values:

Initial value (empty field), AI_SDK_022
