Not JUST for HALLOWEEN

This project is VERY simple. Pass out one page each of the following versesfor the children to cut up. Then have them wrap a single verse around a mini candy bar and tape it in place. The idea is to make enough scripture sweets to give away to trick or treaters. At the very least make enough for each child in the class. Three pages of templates will follow this craft idea. Feel free to share them with others as long as they are not altered or offered for sale. You might consider passing out scripture sweets to your own class or children two or three weeks in a row to make the point that God’s word is sweet to our taste. Then on the fourth week give out the scriptures without the candy. IT’S A TEST TO SEE IF THEY REALLY BELIEVE THAT GOD’S WORD IS SWEET WITHOUT THE CANDY. More than a test it is a challenge “Do you really believe God’s word is sweet all by itself??” ENCOURAGE THE CHILDREN TO BE HONEST. God wants to know about our doubts. He wants us to bring them to him so we can outgrow them. He wants us to KNOW that he loves us. If we aren’t sure he wants us to keep praying until we are.
