It provides us with a lifeline as we create institu- tional knowledge over what we have done and how we can improve on doing our business. Additionally, it allows us the opportunity to reach out into new areas and improve more lives near and far. Another initiative is create one hundred “Net Zero Cities” in emissions, which would be the equivalent of planting 2.3 million trees per year.

Terry’s specific challenge to Rotarians is to have every club participate in investing ten percent to solar panel projects. He would also like to see a national Rotary Fund and de-clare climate change as the next global Rotary project, in the hopes of eradicating global warming. It is believed that we have the technology to obtain 100% energy efficiency and a ten-to-fifteen-year window to reverse climate change and return the air quality to previous acceptable levels. In order to accomplish this, Dvorak admonished us that we must “choose to clean-up” and in the spirit of Rotary place service above self for the sake the next generation.
