Results

The 1100 m2 of solar production at Bislett Stadium was implemented in the summer of 2018 and has a potential of producing 150 000 kWh each year. The energy storage system currently installed can store up to 109 kWh but it can be easily upscaled to match increasing needs in the future. The solution is the first of its kind in Norway.

The xStorage Buildings system works to reduce energy consumption from the grid during peaks by using the back-up renewable solar energy stored in Eaton’s xStorage Buildings battery packs. This way of managing stored energy and distributing it responsibly supports the grid’s power supply, making it robust and ensuring stability. The installation in the Bislett stadium demonstrates environmental responsibility, and it is expected that more energy storage systems will be installed in Norway in the future.
