Physical FeaturesIn the Northwest coast there were Physical Features such as a the Rocky Beaches and the Rocky Mountains.In the North Coast you would find bodies of water such as the Pacific Ocean and rocky beaches.

Natural Resources•In the Northwest Coast there is natural recourses such as trees, streams, animals, plants, and fish.• In the Northwest Coast different plants grow such as cedar trees, camas, hemlock, spruce, and huckleberry.•In the Northwest Coast there are animals such as fish, seal, elk, whales, dear, mountain goats, bears, and wolves.•In the Northwest Coast they had very rich soil which the Native Americans grew crops.•The Northwest Coast supplied a lot of rainfall most of the year.

FoodFrom the ocean people hunted seals, porpoises sea.Others, they also had plenty fish and clams. In the mountain men hunted deer, elk, and other animals with bow and arrowThey boiled their fish and used the fish oil as a sauce to eat with other foods.

ClothingThe Native American men wore breechcloths made out of animal skins or woven grass or reeds. When it cold and rainy in the winter they added animal skin over the woven cedar shirts and leggings. Women wore skirts and capes of woven cedar strips. In the winter, clothing was made out of animal skins. Even in winter people often went barefoot.

Shelter/Homes•People in the Northwest settled only in one area, and they built cedar plank long houses. •The plank long houses were made out of board cut from cedar trees. Beautiful clan symbols were sometimes painted outside.•In the Northwest Coast there are such as the Chinook people and the Tlingit people.
