Welcome to all our exhibitors and visitors. Welcome to our president, Brig. Gen. Nico du

Preez and his wife Mrs. Whellan du Preez, our patron. A warm welcome to the chairmen of

all the Bull Terrier Clubs present today.

In 1997, I bought a white bull terrier female called Savannah of Canterbury, which became the foundation bitch of my kennel. This breed fascinated me so much that I got as much information as possible. Shortly thereafter, I also wanted to buy a male dog but I did not find the right one at that time. Thereupon I dealt intensively with the breeding subject.

In 1999, my kennel "Mighty Bulls" was established. At the end of 1999, I also found a dog named Plato's Boby McJonah - a son of Kearby's Jonah at Aricon, who was exactly what I wanted. From his litter with my Savannah came only 1 puppy - a black brindle male I kept for myself. His name Mighty Bulls Artful Jörg, was the beginning of my show career. There were not many shows he did not win. He was a multiple Champion and Club winner and also won the East-West Crossing Trophy.

After that, I had a litter with Savannah and Grissebasse Incredible Ivar and from this mating 6 puppies where born whereby 4 dogs became champions. From then on, I can say that I had established myself in breeding and brought forth champions constantly.

In 2014, I became President of the Austrian Bullterrier Club and also passed the judges' examination. This took a lot of time over the past few years and I haven’t been taking part in exhibitions for the last few years. Currently, I have 2 old females, 10 ½ and 12 years old, at home and a male of 6 years. All my dogs that live with me are Champions.

I currently show "Mighty Bulls Killing Kiss Kaotika" at International shows. Both times she received CACA. My second show dog “Mighty Bulls Lilith Gun Beretta” is only 5 months and looks very promising. Next year I plan to show her at shows.

Since I've had bull terriers, I was interested in the topic of "education". I used to always hear either “you have a beautiful dog" or a "good dog" - performance and beauty is not possible. The beautiful dogs were too stupid and the working dogs were too ugly.

I come from a country where the founder of the Österr. Bullterrier-Clubs and co-founder of Österr. Cynology Association was Dr. Dr. Emil Hauck. A famous cynologist and veterinarian, whose bull terriers were also used for military and police purposes. The Österr. Bullterrier-Club still organizes the "Hauck-Memorial" every two years and we share the grave care with the ÖKV.

My goal always was to breed intelligent bull terriers and I have succeeded. With my first bred male “Mighty Bulls Artful Jörg” I worked in the IPO sport (track, obedience and protection). He was not only beautiful, but also intelligent and thus more than suitable for the sport. For example, he was used by a Czech breeder as stud and a son from this mating “Art Mighty Bulls od Velkého Buckú” was a high-prized boar hound in the Czech Republic - but also Club winner and Champion. I used him for my breeding and kept two dogs from this mating – “Ch. Mighty Bulls Dude Dewey” and “Ch. Mighty Bulls Dum-Dum Duruna”. Duruna is also the mother of my current male “Ch. Mighty Bulls Heave-Ho Hooligan” who will take the IPO exam this year. I am currently training several bull terriers on exams, and some of them are Champions dogs. I think it is a good way to deal with the dogs after their show career.

Since bull terriers are physically challenged in IPO sport, I place great emphasis on health and excellent temperament in my dogs.

The Bullterrier has been accompanying me for 20 years now and is my passion. I hope to do this for a very long time. For me the Bullterrier was the perfect companion in all these years – they have a heart of gold and they bring me always a smile on my face.
