REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS RIO TINTO ALCAN, CLEANING/DEMOLITION– TECHNICAL SERVICES
NOM Consultancy Services Inc. is currently subcontracting under a Loan of Personnel Agreement with SNC Lavalin
Inc. to supply Technical Services Consultants for the Cleaning and Demolition portion of the Rio Tinto Alcan
modernization project in Kitimat, BC. The scope of work includes the following:
Develop and implement a material sampling program in order to asses the level of contamination in the
work areas.
Use the information generated by sampling program to ensure proper cleaning procedures are
maintained by the contractors.
Plan, coordinate and execute all tasks required to technically oversee the Cleaning and Demolition
Contractors during the cleaning phase of the work.
Ensure the cleaning criteria and specifications are followed by the contractors and in regulatory
compliance.
Ensure that all wastes and materials are handled, packaged, shipped and treated as per the required
criteria.
Plan, coordinate and execute all tasks required to technically oversee the C&D Contractor during the
demolition phase of the work.
Plan, coordinate and execute all tasks required to technically oversee the C&D Contractors during waste
collection, packaging and disposal (provide waste traceability for recyclables, hazardous waste, non-
hazardous waste, asbestos as per BC Ministry of Environment and Federal waste classification and
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
Develop and implement a chain of custody procedure for all waste streams generated by the C&D
Contractors.
Conduct all inspections of the work and work areas to ensure the C&D Contractors are complying with
scope specifications and regulatory compliance throughout the work activities.
LOADPATH INDUSTRIAL INC. – RETAINED CONSULTANT, Simlico Mine (Copper Mountain Project)
Retained as a consultant by LoadPath Industrial Inc. to oversee the erecting contractor’s work on the 120,000
SF concentrator building at the Copper Mountain Project.
Within two weeks of being on site, requested by LoadPath Industrial Inc. to assume the Site Superintendent
position. As Site Superintendent for LoadPath, areas of responsibility ranged from managing the
erection/installation of the concentrator building as well as the 20,000 SF truck shop.
Other areas of responsibility were logistical and operational coordination between sub trades, owner’s
construction management team, the owner and QA/QC inspections/documentation. In spite of numerous
weather related incidents and other site logistical challenges the project was completed ahead of contract
schedule by one month.
SNC LAVALIN – RETAINED CONSULTANT, (Diavik Diamond Mine, NWT)
Served as the Mechanical Lead on the NKSL Commissioning Team
Responsibilities included acting as the Lead for the commissioning of
the mines new underground dewatering systems and south tank
farm fire protection system.
Served as owner’s representative during the commissioning of the
new Crushing Plant. Participated as a team member on various other

jobs, including the Power Plant, the Fresh Air Raise and Return Air Raise.
SNC LAVALIN – RETAINED CONSULTANT, (Newmont Resources, Hope Bay Project, Nunavut)
Served as OS Superintendent
Responsible for oversight of all infrastructure construction of the
airstrip, roads, and permanent camp. Also provided oversight of
other permanent infrastructure construction for water, fuel, and
sewer pipelines.
Provided all QA/QC documentation for the permanent facility for
presentation to the project owners
Represent project owners on documenting and overseeing the
correction of all deficiencies on the punch lists
PERMASTEEL – RETAINED CONSULTANT (DeBeers Snap Lake Project, Northwest Territories)
DeBeers - Snap Lake diamond mine project in Snap Lake, NWT. Structural Coordinator/ Owners representative
Requested by AMEC of America to serve as their site representative for the engineering construction project
management team (ECPM team). Duties included night shift superintendent, punch list coordinator, Mine Dry
Coordinator. Served as an advisor to the engineering team.
Consulted to owner (DeBeers management group) on matters of quality control/assurance and schedule.
Made recommendations for upgrades to in-field engineering and implementations.
Capital expenditure for the DeBeers Snap Lake project is in the order of $1Billion.
PR CONSTRUCTION – RETAINED CONSULTANT (General Manger and field consultant for various projects as
outlined below)
Aeroground Vancouver Airport – Pre-engineered secured warehouse and office complex
Cascade Aerospace, Abbotsford Airport – Airplane maintenance facility with capacity for 4 Boeing 737 at one
time. Responsible for total erection of entire building. Retained by Mega Door (Petrie GA, USA) to install roll
up closure doors. Services retained by Advanced Ground Systems to install all maintenance equipment to work
on 737 jets, as well as to fabricate components of the system in a shop in Richmond. ($60MM capital cost)
Total rebuild of West Fraser Sawmills Ltd., Ainsworth mill in Chasm
BC. ($6MM)
Expansion of Primex Sawmills in Delta BC ($3MM)
Tolko Forest Products expansion of Riverside Forest Ltd plywood plant
in Armstrong BC. Involved 60,000 sq feet of asbestos removal, and
helicopter mechanical erecting. ($12MM)
Building of green power generating plants in Pemberton and Whistler
BC with Western Versatile and Kewitt Construction Ltd. ($25MM)

Restructured operations and improved efficiency to improve from a $3MM loss the prior year to profitable
within 6 months
Project Manager for total mill rebuild. Production levels were required to be maintained through construction,
which presented significant logistical challenges.
General duties included operations management, purchasing, scheduling and training of staff, design of mill
layout, and general management.
