International Peace Highway Promotion Tour

O n July 19 in Moscow a cross country tour through Russia was launched in support and promotion of the “International Peace Highway.” For 15 days

a team of three members Yury Gavrilin, Ivan Lapikin and Dmitry Ofitserov have been travelling by train from Mos-cow to Vladivostok with stops in Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk. First, centering on the Regional President of the Northeast Regional Rev. Jin Hwa Chung, they established Holy Ground in Moscow.

In each city, with support of local members, they have established new Holy Grounds as a spiritual foundation for future International Peace Highway. In Khabarovsk the Holy Ground was established on the land which belongs to the Church. Now on this land we are constructing a church

building.Besides establishing Holy Grounds the team have been

distributing pamphlets with International Peace Highway project description. In Ufa, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk they met NGO’s representatives, local authorities and reli-gious leaders and conveyed True Father’s ideas of building peaceful world without boundaries. Near Irkutsk they met participants of Baikal project, organized by CARP members.

The tour successfully finished on August 2 in Vladivo-stok. The team and local members established last Holy Ground of this tour in the beautiful park of Vladivostok. Then they made a nice photo with International Peace Highway banner on the shore of the Pacific Ocean, and concluded the tour.

Korea CARP Convention 2014 in Mongolia

“W ith Mind of True Owners of Cheon Il Guk Let’s Achieve Absolute Victory in Vision 2020” was the slogan of CARP

convention which took place in Mongolia from July 22 till 27. CARP members from 7 countries: South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, gathered in Mongolia.

CARP convention started from dedication ceremony of the first Mongolian Training center located in Gachuurt – about 20 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar city. More than 100 people attended the ceremony headed by NER Continental Director Rev. Jin Hwa Chung, Special Envoy to Mongolia, Rev. Chan Wook Yoon, and Sun Moon University CARP leader Rev. Hoon Moon Choi.

On the second day all CAPR members were watching True Parents’ life course film made in Japan 10 years ago. Even though members who played in that film were not professional actors still the movie left deep impression in the hearts of members. After dinner members went to the slope of a steep mountain to practice cooperation and teamwork.

The whole third day was dedicated to “NER and Korean CARP volunteering activity for the Northeast Asia Region peace movement”.

On the evening of that day for the sake of Russian team which was already going back home members from Korea

and Mongolia organized a concert and talent show. In the darkness of the night everybody gathered around camp-fire and enjoyed sparkles. Even though participants spent together only 3 days finally they felt like friends who had been together for several years. Some even wiped tears seeing off Russian members.

On the fourth day participants continued watching True Parents’ life course video. After lunch Korean and Mongo-lian team had an athletic competition. The evening prayer was a time to reflect about the day and think how to fulfill Vision 2020 declared by True Parents.

Korean CARP from Sun Moon University established by True Parents brought heavenly fortune to Mongolia. We hope that the hot passion and heavenly fortune brought to Mongolia will be inherited by the next CARP Convention. t

21-day DP Workshop

W e held a 21-day Divine Principle workshop from July 7 till July 27. It is the 6th workshop held in Ukraine this year. Seven new guests attended the workshop. Here are some

impressions from them.

}It was so great to study, listen and support each other! Unification Movement is a team targeted at the development and unification of people from all over the world, creating family relationships between all people and building a happy life.

Especially I liked to read morning HDH. It gave me a good mindset for the day.

I found many answers to my questions. So now I need to practice it.

R ecognizing our identity as Strategic Country and our responsibility for realizing the “Vision 2020”, we de-cided to improve the existing educational system:

make contents deeper and conduct 7-day DP workshops on regular basis.

Based on this decision, we conducted the second DP workshop in this summer at the Ialoveni workshop site on July 6 to 12. This time we set the purpose for the workshop as “Educate Members as Future Core Members of the Mol-dova Church.” In total 21 people attended this workshop. Among participants there were 16 graduates: 6 guests and 10 members. Another five people attended partially. Spe-cific for this workshop was the fact that five senior people and three teenagers attended.

The schedule included both DP lectures and Internal Guidance. This made it very rich for the guests but also rel-evant for the members. All participants sincerely attended the seminar. At the end of this workshop two young guests decided to become fulltime members. They are now going

through the action-izing course under witnessing team. All senior participants expressed strong determination to work for restoration of the country. One blessed family is also preparing to join as fulltime.

On the next day of the seminar, July 13, at the Sunday service the Regional President invited the participants on to the stage and presented Divine Principle to each person. We are looking forward and preparing for the next 7-day DP workshop. While witnessing to new people, we strongly encourage them and hope that all the members will go through it, too. This will help them to make a new beginning and to start actively participate in the providen-tial work.

Estonia First Missionaries to Estonia Return for a Visit

F rom June 30 to July 14 the first missionaries who were assigned to Estonia returned for two weeks visit. Shinji and Naomi Gyoten first arrived in Estonia

in October 1992 and spent approximately four years as missionaries in this country.

They joined our Sunday Service on 13 July and could meet some of the Estonian families and brothers and sisters. After the Sunday Service message they shared some of their experiences and memories during their time

in Estonia. They also shared some moving experiences they had with people during this most recent visit – people whom they had not met for many years.

Their main emphasis was the importance that we never give up on people, regardless of the challenges and diffi-culties we may encounter during witnessing. We cannot give up because our Heavenly Parent never gives up on anyone. t

U PF-Latvia held Global Peace Festivals on July 5 and 12 with Japanese CIG missionaries. Japanese CIG missionaries for Russia arranged theme for the event.

Participants enjoyed experiencing Japanese tradition, includ-ing songs and martial arts. Some guests joyfully welcomed missionaries again since they were in March. After the events participants were invited to teatime conversation.

Japanese CIG missionaries sincerely invested in preparation of the event so that they could make heartistic connection not only with previous guests, but also with newcomers. t
