The Twelve Days of Holiday Menu Planning

On the first day of Christmas, Aunt Minnie was soon to be landing from Seattle so we picked up a tray of Chick-Fil-A before it was time to skedaddle.

On the second day of Christmas, my husband said to me, Where or where will our office party be? Relax said I, how lovely it will be in the private room at Vivace.

On the third day of Christmas it was pizza we wanted but no one was stirring, no one wanted to go out, so we gave Cinelli’s a shout, no worries they’re always out and about...

When the joys of the holidays leave you with little time for cook-ing, or you just want to relax and revel in the whole family being together again, make the menu uniquely your own with a little help from your North Hills.

A DAy in the Life with frosty AnD ruDoLph

Our team at Locale recently had the chance to interview Frosty and Rudolph about their experiences as strolling characters during Christmas at North Hills. We hope you’ll find their insights as heartwarming as we did.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO KNOW YOU ARE BRINGING JOY TO SO MANY KIDS?

Frosty: I have always enjoyed working with kids, so being in character for their excitement just comes naturally for me.

Rudolph: It feels good to know that you can bring smiles to the hearts and faces of so many kids for doing something so simple. It makes me want to be a kid again!

WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OR ADVICE FOR BEING A HOLIDAY CHARACTER?

Frosty: To be a holiday character, you must be very jovial and ener-getic. If you’re in a bad mood, or tired, it will surely show. To get into the spirit of the holiday it helps to run around like a crazy person.

Rudolph: Another piece of advice would be to exaggerate your movements. Characters are expected to trade movements for speech because, remember, we can’t talk!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT CHRISTMAS AT NORTH HILLS?

Frosty: I like it here in North Carolina during the winter because you can have really cold days for me to layer my outfits without worrying about melting away.

Rudolph: One of my favorite memories is the time I got to slide into the middle of the ice skating rink. I slid, jumped, twirled, and showed everyone my best figure skating moves. I wouldn’t say it was graceful, but the kids loved it and made my day.
