Aloha! Church Family, It has been a crazy time since the wedding and Justin and I wanted to give everyone an update on us here in Hawaii. But first we would like to thank everyone for the gifts for the wedding and our move but most of all the love you have given Justin and me throughout the years. We truly are blessed because we have you as our church family. We miss you all very much. But since being here in Hawaii we have had so many blessings come our way. We arrived safely which was amazing, but we were told that we couldn’t have a house on base due to a wait list which we were told was 0-6 months. So we found a one bedroom, one bath cottage just 5 minutes away from base and 10 minutes away from Justin’s work. And base housing has informed us that when our lease ends in May that we will have a house on base. We have also started to attend a local community church near our cot-tage; our neighbors are very nice and everything is working out great for us. Because of you, church family, we have been able to start off our lives together with ease and we are both forever grateful to you for that. Please continue to pray for us while we are here. We love & miss you.

Aloha, Erin and Justin Davis

Dear College Street Baptist Church Family,

Thank each of you for your kindness, prayers, cards and telephone calls since the passing of my sweet

brother, Charles Hall. We will so much miss him; his wonderful sense of humor, his warm hugs and smiles over

the years are now our treasures. Please do continue to keep us in your prayers. May God’s blessings always be

yours.

With love,

Rachel Bible & Family

Ken’s Korner From Ken… Mission projects are at the heart of this church family. There is no end to the variety and purposes of our endeavors and it gives me pleasure to tell others about what this church does. There is a group of organizations that are trying (again for maybe the umpteen time) to get the benevolent organizations of Oconee County to sit down together and talk about how we benefit and do ministry to those in need. Pray for us as we continue to meet. Our next meeting is February 25 at the St. Paul of the Apostle Church on Bountyland Road. You are welcome to come sit in on these meetings as we seek the Lord’s direction. Many thanks to our own folks who have made the Food Bank such a success over the years. Now we are also working through the “Son” Flower Clothes Closet to minister in yet another way. Keep them both in your prayers. Our mission work at Hickory Hill Baptist Church will probably come to an end with the final trip on February 26-27 to do mostly painting. I have 13 people from CSBC that will help along with others from at least two other churches. There will still be a few things that HHBC will need to address but it is a good thing that we have been able to help do a host of projects. There is another “Spring Break Mission Project” coming up. This event is also promoted by our participating Walhalla area Baptist churches as well as other churches throughout the county. Michael Welsh, Pastor at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church will be the team leader for this project. This event is scheduled for Monday – Wednesday, March 28-30 and all the projects are local. The ministry projects include:

Christ Central Ministries to renovate and paint the new homeless shelter Ministering to Lakeview Nursing Facility Ministering to Seneca’s old nursing home on Highway 59 DAR Reaching our community by building wheelchair ramps and doing repairs for elderly

through the United Way. I’m excited as our churches continue to come together for these wonderful efforts. See the bulletin board or call me to express your interest in helping. We will conduct an interest meeting soon.
