Yarra Libraries – a snapshot:• We welcome over 1400 people to branches each day• Five Branch Libraries: Richmond, Collingwood , Fitzroy, North

Fitzroy and Carlton• Our sixth branch - virtual library @ www.yarracity.vic.gov.au/library

providing 24 hour access

In 2010/11, Yarra Libraries:• Welcomed over 558,597 people to branches• Had 48,731 members• Loaned 930,223items• Answered 69,897reference enquiries• Had 65,328 PC bookings

We achieve this by:

Providing collections in many formats, increasingly both print and electronic, in many languages

Offering the advice and support that people need to access information using electronic and print resources

Inspiring a love of reading and learning, and

Making our five libraries welcoming and stimulating neighbourhood spaces where people can connect locally and globally

• North Fitzroy Community Hub Development• Development of Yarra Libraries Plan 2013 – 2017• Introduction of e-books• YL Local History CDP• Yarra Libraries Advisory Committee• An addition of 24,000 items to the collection this year

including 3500 items for CALD communities
