Important Information about this Application Eligibility Requirements:

Enrollment - Student must be enrolled and participating in interscholastic athletics. Senior Status - Student must be a graduating senior during the current school year. Varsity Letter – Student must have earned a varsity letter in a sport. Minimum GPA - Student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0

scale.(Grade point cannot be rounded “up” for the purpose of qualifying)

Application Sections, Scoring & Helpful Hints: Applicant Information (Pg.1) – Complete all sections. Extra-Curricular Activities (Pg.2) – Focus on significant participation and leadership experiences, athletic

achievements, academic awards and community involvement. Essay (Pg.3) – Write two essays from the questions given. (250 word maximum for each). Be Creative! Use

personal experiences to tell us how you benefited from your personal extracurricular activities.

The North East Athletic Department is offering two $2500 scholarships to any graduating senior who has earned a varsityletter during their high school career and plans to continue their education at a higher level institute. The two $2500 scholarships will be awarded to one male athlete and one female athlete chosen among the seven North East ISD high schools. The chairman of the Selection Committee will be the NEISD Executive Director of Athletics and a three member selection panel who will review and verify the authenticity of all applicants.
