There are a lot of people who are lock out of the job market due to their past
Society for Human Resource Management created a toolkit for employers to look at formerly incarcerated to look at as a pool of talent
Toolkit website: https://www.gettingtalentbacktowork.org
As an employer, being up front would raise confidence of the employer.
WorkSource goes to DOC a couple times a month and has heard that the State prisons are aware of a need for transition assistance.
The group agreed to make a coordinated effort across the region to share this toolkit with others. WorkSource may have some funding dedicated to this. Will have a update in June.
Presentation available at: http://www.mydocvault.us/uploads/7/5/8/6/7586208/getting_talent_back_to_work_ncw_kristi_ashley.pdf

Celebrating Success
Okanogan County CPTS reported that they are expecting the opening of their first Oxford House by July 1. It will be a mens house in Okanogan.
NCW Life Highlighting the Chelan County Drug Court (https://www.ncwlife.com/chelan-county-drug-court/)
Opioid Treatment Network – Family Health Centers received a grant from HCA to develop an Opioid Treatment Network in Okanogan County. The network consists of entry sites (ERs, SEP, OBHC) which provide easy entry into MAT services. There is a coordinator to help patients through the stabilization phase and then clients are connected to Continuation Sites. FHC now has 5 days/week coverage for MAT. Generally they can get someone in for a same day appointment.
