BRIGHT BLOOM

“BRIGHT BLOOM emanates from the Bright Sprout,

it represents the idea of a lamp in bloom.

The flower bud is a wooden fixture made of oak wood. The bud allows the lampshade

to bloom while being visible both inside the lampshade and on top of it.

The shade comes in three different colours, a copper version, which truly shines when

combined with the oak wood, and a powdercoated version in either black or white

which emphasizes the Scandinavian design traditions that Nordic Tales values.

Once again you get to be a part of the storytelling by choosing one of the three

different shades and one of the seven different fabric cables, and hereby end up with

your own distinct version of the Bright Bloom.

“BRIGHT SPROUT is a wooden fixture designed to hide the light

bulb transfomers on energy saving bulbs. With its soft Scandinavian

design, it turns an important everyday function

into an aesthetic experience.

Like with every other Nordic Tales product, Bright Sprout

tells a story. And you are a part of the story telling.

Bright Sprout must be combined with a cord and a light bulb of your

wish. The fabric cord comes in seven colours and Bright Sprout in

oiled, soap or smoked finished oak. Bright Sprout is designed to fit

most incandescent and energy saving bulbs.

BRIGHT SPROUT

“HAZEL Light is the second pendant by Nordic Tales. It is a tiny

light in the dark wintertime. The lamp is made by wood

and metal in neutral colours: White or copper.

The petite pendant uses the latest LED-technology and provides a

warm light imitating daylight by 90 percent. The light is adjusted by

a tiny lens, which offers total control over direction,

thus the lamp also appeals to professionals.

Hazel is part of Nordic Tales’ story of sustainable high quality

design. Hazel has an estimated lifetime of 50.000 hours,

That corresponds to 30 years when using the

lamp on a regular basis.

HAZEL

“COLLAR LAMP unites simple Scandinavian design with

Spanish elegance. The mix of an uplight and the organic

shape of the lampshade reflects a pleasant,

diffuse light into the room.

The lamp consists of three parts; a base, a LED-bulb and

a lampshade. The shade, made from powder coated steel,

is mounted on an oak wood base. The shade rotates 180

degrees so the light can be directed in any desired angle.

The contrast between the cold steel and the warmth of the

wood gives the lamp a beautiful, aesthetic expression.

COLLAR LAMP

“SYMBIOSIS is the result of a collaboration between materials.

The design has emerged from the urge to see how two such different

materials would work in addition to each other.

With a top in oak wood and a base of glass frosted on the inside,

the aesthetic comes to live.

The vase can be used for many purposes and in many ways; the top

is not attached to the bottom and the vase can therefore be used

with or without. Whether you fill it with water is your choice, the

frosted glass has many beautiful possibilities.

However, the vase becomes vivid when filled with flowers and water.

The frosting interacts with the water and creates a clearer window

to see the beautiful stems of the flowers.

This ensemble shows how materials can come to life when joined,

how they can interact but also depend on each other,

we call it Symbiosis.

SYMBIOSIS VASE

“FLIP is a different kind of bookshelf. The design is

based on the idea of using the binding of books in the

overall impression of the shelf as opposed to covering

them. With Flip the expression of the triangular

composition in the ends of the shelf changes according

to the book placed last.

Flip is composed of two parts, a top and a bottom.

The top is prodcued in Walnut and the bottom in

powdercoated metal. These materials makes one

another shine and sends a beautiful grafical statement.

FLIP SHELF

“POET Desk is the story of exclusive furniture. It is a desk

whereby thoughts and creativity can unfold and generate new

ideas and projects. The table is an ode to classical

Scandinavian handcrafted furniture in which quality

in materials and detail is highly prioritized.

POET is more than just a desk. It is a tool equal to your

computer and your coffee mug. POET, besides from the

primary desktop, has two built-in shelves and a drawer where

you can store your notes and pens. This way, your desk

always appears tidy and clean. Legs and desktop are wedged

together and eliminates the need for superfluous

materials and components.

The idea of POET came alive during the designers stay at

the school of joiners in Copenhagen, Denmark. The table

honours solid craftsmanship and at the same time fulfill

contemporary wishes of a simple and functional design.

POET DESK

“FRAMED is a clothing rack and mirror reflecting the times.

It is inspired by the ruling order on social media:

Frame yourself – or others will frame you.

The design has emerged from the intersection between fashion,

interior and photography. The clothes rack creates the perfect

balance between functional storage and Nordic aesthetics. It frames

your favorite outfits in a beautiful and neat way every day.

Framed consists of a frame with two legs that fold for easy

transportation. The original design was developed for the Danish

fashion designer Stine Goya’s showroom in Copenhagen in 2013.

FRAMED

“SNOWFLAKE is a decorative bowl inspired by a

photographers work which pictures the climate changes of

the Earth. Images, which greatly oppose the ambiguous

scientific hypotheses, put forward by various experts on the

topic of climate changes. The idea behind Snowflake is

similar to the art of the photographers; to visualize the

challenges of climate changes through something physical,

visual and unequivocal. Snowflake is made from two types

of glass, the inner side of the bowl is produced in opal glass

while the outer is glass frosted. When light hits the bowl

the geometric shapes are reflected through the two layers

of glass. In that way Snowflake turns into a luminaire which

character changes according to its surroundings.

SNOWFLAKE

“WEATHER PLAIDS is introduced by Nordic Tales to welcome

the late summer nights. Inspired by nature the colour schemes

of the rugs vary from dark blue shades to warm pink and yellow

tones. The colour combination of each rug is reminiscent of

different natural phenomena and seasons.

A talented, up-coming designer from Copenhagen named Fanni

Baudo designed the Weather Plaids. Fanni believes in universal

colour codes deriving from various, natural occurring events.

The idea is that these colour harmonies outlives every shifting

trend and tendency due to their natural origin.

There are three different designs to choose from;

thunder/summer, sundown/fall, dawn/winter.

All are they woven of virgin wool.
