These dinosaur measurement activities are a fun way for children to learn how to measure using non standard measurement units

1. Task Cards• Print and laminate• Use non-standard measurement tools

(cubes, links, counters etc.) to measure the line on each card.

• Use an erasable marker to write how long/tall the line is in the box.

• The green cards measure length and the brown cards measure height.

2. Comparing Dinosaurs• Print and laminate.• Grab a variety of dinosaur figurines.• Compare the dinosaurs by placing them

next to each other. • Order them from shortest to tallest,

shortest to longest etc.• You can also compare each dinosaur to a

piece of string (e.g. Is it longer or shorter?).
