BEFORE CONVERGENCE
• No specific funding allotted for theconvergence projects
• Monitoring of projects is something difficult due to peace and order situation Lack of social preparation of PO’s
• Siayan – Sindangan – Roxas is the pilot area for convergence in Region 9.
• Zamboanga del Norte declared as the poorest province in the country in 2003. (Source: NSCB)
• Siayan is among the poorest municipality in the country with poverty rate of 97.5% in 2003 while Sindangan has poverty rate of 56.8% and Roxas is 66.3% in 2009. (Source:

DURING CONVERGENCE
• Participating agencies providedproject/budget attribution for theconvergence projects
• Raise the awareness and strengthen the involvement of the participating agencies
• Developed active participation among agencies and the Local Government Unit
• Open door for private investment like bank and gas station with the development of infrastructure in the municipality
• In 2012, poverty incidence in Siayanwas reduced to 70.5% (Source: NSCB)
