Activate your ePanther account at epanther.uwm.edu This will give you access to your PAWS (Panther Access to Web Services) account where you can view your To Do List, Finances, Holds, Academics, Advisor, and much more. Your campus ID is on your admission letter. If you need help with your ePanther account, call 414.229.4040.

Monitor PAWS for your enrollment appointment time At your appointment time, you can register for classes. They post one week before the enrollment period begins. For winterim check PAWS in mid-October. For spring, check PAWS in mid-November, for summer enrollment check PAWS in the end of March and for fall check PAWS in mid-April. Once open enrollment begins, we do not assign appointments. paws.uwm.edu

Check PAWS for holds and items on your To Do List Before you register for classes, you will want to make sure you have taken care of any holds or to do list items on your PAWS account. Most students need to complete the University Credit Agreement hold under the finances section before registering on PAWS. The Non-Resident For Tuition hold does not prevent registration.

Register for classes on PAWS UWM offers courses on campus, online or in a blended format that combines both on-campus and online sessions. Go to schedule.uwm.edu to see which classes are offered each semester and use the “Advanced Search” function to find online or evening classes. To register for classes on PAWS, click on enroll under the Academics section. If your class has prerequisites, you may be required to contact the department or professor for permission. If a class is closed or you do not get added from the wait list, you can see if the professor can add you to the class on the 1st day. Please bring a registration change form. regform.uwm.edu

If you are taking classes online you will need to log on to Desire2Learn (D2L) at d2l.uwm.edu. Your class will appear on D2L by the first day of class.

Get your books You can view your book list at the UWM Bookstore, located in the Union, or online at bookstore.uwm.edu.

Get your student ID card Your unique campus ID number is listed in your acceptance letter, so you’ll want to keep it handy. This number will be printed on a student ID card that is used throughout campus to identify you as a student and provide access to services, programs, facilities and other campus offerings. You can get your ID card at the Registrar’s Office, Mellencamp Hall, Room 274.

Check your UWM email You can log in to view your UWM email at login.microsoftonline.com

Secure your housing Interested in living in the neighborhoods near campus? The Neighborhood Housing Office (NHO) can help you find housing and roommates at nho.uwm.edu.

Learn about campus parking and transportation options at parking.uwm.edu. The following services also make commuting easy:

• FREE UPARK: Park at our satellite parking lot at Capitol and Humboldt and hop on the UPARK bus that drops you off at one of six campus locations. Buses pick up and drop off about every 10 minutes.

• FREE UPASS: Stop in at UWM Parking and Transit, located in the Union, room WG25, about one week before school starts to get your free student bus pass. You can also use it at many park-and-ride locations.

• B.O.S.S.: On campus after hours? You can call the B.O.S.S. (Be On the Safe Side) van transportation service to escort you home if you live within a few miles of campus. Learn more at boss.uwm.edu.

• ON CAMPUS PERMIT: Student Parking in the Northwest Quad (NWQ) parking garage is $50 per month.

Sign up for Transfer and Adult Orientation at taso.uwm.edu (Offered fall and spring) For spring enrollment, register for orientation starting in November. For fall enrollment, register starting in April.
