Panels provide excellent load bearing performance, with an interlocking tongue-and-groove edge ensuring solid joining and uniform loading across supports.

Composed of Portland cement, recycled mineralized cellulose fibers, water and bonding agents, Plycem SX20/20™ is non-toxic, contains no hazardous volatiles and is free of any asbestos or formaldehyde.

Typically installed with standard carpentry tools, Plycem SX20/20™ combines the strength and resistant properties of concrete with the flexibility and workability of wood.

Plycem SX20/20™ is a non-combustible structural fiber cement board, designed and manufactured for use in fire-rated decking assemblies.

Plycem SX20/20™ is non-combustible per ASTM E136, with up to 2 hour fire-rated UL floor assemblies achieved in accordance with ASTM E119 and ANSI/UL 263.

Plycem SX20/20™ has also achieved zero flame spread and smoke development in accordance with ASTM E84.

Plycem SX20/20™ is a high-performance, low-cost choice for non-combustible structural decking, as a lightweight alternative to poured concrete.

Compatible with the vast majority of floor finishes, this outstanding board is moisture resistant, insect / vermin proof and impact resistant, as well as offering class-leading acoustic insulation.

Together, these characteristics mean that Plycem SX20/20™ is ideally suited to construction applications as diverse as multi-story residential, dormitories, hotels, schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities, correctional facilities, airports and more.

A P P L I C AT I O N S

Plycem SX20/20™ is available in 3/4” (20mm) and 1” (25mm) thicknesses, each suitable for structural floor applications. Board thickness should be selected from the load table in accordance with live load design. Maximum support spacing is 24” on center.

Plycem SX20/20™ installs with the long T&G edges perpendicular to the supporting joists and the square edges falling parallel to and on thecenters of the supporting joists flanges.

CompositionPlycem SX20/20™ is manufactured from non-combustible Plycem fiber reinforced cement sheet, composed of Portland cement (71%), mineralized cellulose fibers (19%, derived from recycled cardboard cartons), water (9%), and bonding agents (1%).

Finishes & ProfilePlycem SX20/20™ has a clear acrylic primer sealer applied to all six edges of the panel to resist the uptake of moisture before, during and after application to the construction application.

All Plycem SX20/20™ boards have a tongue and groove edge applied to the long edges of the sheet.

4’ x 8’ sheets are available from stock, with 4’ x 10’ as a special order. There are 12 crates per truckload for 4’ x 8’ boards; 10 crates per truckload for 4’ x 10’.
