Winter Term Ag enda Created Monday December 13, 2010 1. Executive Board Communication Aria We need to set up a meeting ASAP with Philadelphia Development Partnership (http://www.pdp-inc.org/) to see if any opportunities could arise between our organizations. I believe you said that the lady in charge was busy the last couple weeks of this term so try to set up a meeting the first week of winter term. The Center for Civic Engagement sent me an email which that we may have an opportunity to do a project that has opportunities that “range from a student organization’s involvement in teaching financial literacy courses to children to assisting adults with resumes and tax preparation.” I thought this might be a good alternative for a civic engagement activity for this year if the PDP idea does not materialize. I will contact Professor Finnin about speaking with Business 102 lectures about NOBE. Would you be able to do this next term? Pawel I plan to go to IEEE’s first meeting next term and continue our discussions on co-sponsoring events. Do you think you would be able to make a meeting with me? I would then like you to begin to oversee all of the events we will put on with them. I should have forwarded you the email from Comedian Don McMillan. IEEE would like to co-sponsor the possible event with us. It would take place that last week in February. Reach out to ASME please and brainstorm some possible joint events we could do with them. Adam I would like you to meet with Scott Malloy (You should have his contact info already). Explain to him how SAFAC works, although he might already be on the SAFAC committee now.

Winter Term Agenda

Created Monday December 13, 2010 1. Executive Board Communication Aria

• We need to set up a meeting ASAP with Philadelphia Development Partnership (http://www.pdp-inc.org/) to see if any opportunities could arise between our organizations. I believe you said that the lady in charge was busy the last couple weeks of this term so try to set up a meeting the first week of winter term.

• The Center for Civic Engagement sent me an email which that we may have an opportunity to do a project that has opportunities that “range from a student organization’s involvement in teaching financial literacy courses to children to assisting adults with resumes and tax preparation.” I thought this might be a good alternative for a civic engagement activity for this year if the PDP idea does not materialize.

• I will contact Professor Finnin about speaking with Business 102 lectures about NOBE. Would you be able to do this next term?

Pawel

• I plan to go to IEEE’s first meeting next term and continue our discussions on co-sponsoring events. Do you think you would be able to make a meeting with me? I would then like you to begin to oversee all of the events we will put on with them.

• I should have forwarded you the email from Comedian Don McMillan. IEEE would like to co-sponsor the possible event with us. It would take place that last week in February.

• Reach out to ASME please and brainstorm some possible joint events we could do with them.

Adam

• I would like you to meet with Scott Malloy (You should have his contact info already). Explain to him how SAFAC works, although he might already be on the SAFAC committee now.

(Adam Continued) • I also would like you to create a spreadsheet with our SAFAC

balance and transactions so far this year. • Also make a brief report of the logistics of traveling to the NOBE

conference in January. 2. Junior Board Communication Mathilde

• The Industry Outlook event is taking shape. What we have been instructed so far to do is: o Flyer for the event (I can get one made as soon as the

companies and locations are finalized) o Advertise within the Engineering school using their own

Calendar/website (We will get Pawel to do this) o Email NOBE members and Facebook invite/message

• I will let you know if I need anything done with regards to the Microfinance dinner in February.

• Pavan

• Can you send me an update on where we are with the DuPont Event?

• The tentative date is Wednesday, January 19th correct? 3. Miscellaneous Items

• We had some issues with the resolution quality on the t-shirts but they should be done before winter term starts. I will send out an email about how you can pick up your t-shirt when they come in.

• We are going to start a serious NOBE expansion initiative this winter. I ask if you have any friends from high school who are currently studying business or engineering at another school, please send me their name, email, college and course of study. I am not going to send them any emails yet (I just want to start a list of potential contacts). Alex and I are working on a template email, which will market NOBE really well (how easy it is start, low costs, networking with other schools, etc). If anyone would like to be involved with this let me know.

4.
