Reason for Seeking a Consistency Determination (CD)

NOAA is interested in projects that: Result in on-the-ground restoration of habitat which

directly benefit living marine/estuarine/freshwater resources and species. In particular ESA listed species and the habitats they utilize.

Involve significant community support through an educational and volunteer component tied to the restoration activities

strong partnerships with multiple agencies and organizations

Producing high quality projects with a wide range of stakeholder buy-in

a. Compatibility with the Consistency Determination

b. Coastal Resource protection measures

2. CCC also reviews project for compliance with the Consistency Determination

3. Projects implemented with NOAA RC technical assistance and oversight for projects (planning, design, permitting, monitoring and compliance)

4. Annual report provided to CCC
