International Student’s Leadership Programme (ISLP)-Malaysia 8 Mar 2017 to 12 Mar 2017 Adhi College of Engineering and Technology organized a four day international visit to Malaysia from 8 Mar 2017 to 12 Mar 2017. In which various discipline students have participated. Dr.A.Devaraju, Principal and Dr.Gayathri monicka Subarnan, Associate Professor, EEE accompanied the students in this ISLP Visit. The details of the visit as follows:- Day 1:(8 March Wednesday) We departed from Chennai airport via Malaysia airlines towards Malaysia at 11.45 am. We arrived Kuala Lumpur International airport, Malaysia at 6 pm. After immigration, we reached the GDS hotel around 8 pm. We are welcomed by Mr.Chandra Sekar CEO, Ms.Suguna Director, Edu India. We had a dinner in Chinese restaurant, its quiet different experience of have their food. Day 2:(9 March Thursday) We visited APU (Asia Pacific university of Technology and Innovation) University at 9.30 am. Mr. Padmanathan, Senior Professor had an interaction with the students and talked about the history of Malaysia. International Student’s Leadership Programme (ISLP)-Malaysia

8 Mar 2017 to 12 Mar 2017

Adhi College of Engineering and Technology organized a four day

international visit to Malaysia from 8 Mar 2017 to 12 Mar 2017. In

which various discipline students have participated. Dr.A.Devaraju,

Principal and Dr.Gayathri monicka Subarnan, Associate Professor, EEE

accompanied the students in this ISLP Visit.

The details of the visit as follows:-

Day 1:(8 March –Wednesday)

We departed from Chennai airport via Malaysia airlines towards

Malaysia at 11.45 am. We arrived Kuala Lumpur International airport,

Malaysia at 6 pm. After immigration, we reached the GDS hotel around

8 pm. We are welcomed by Mr.Chandra Sekar CEO, Ms.Suguna

Director, Edu India. We had a dinner in Chinese restaurant, its quiet

different experience of have their food.

Day 2:(9 March –Thursday)

We visited APU (Asia Pacific university of Technology and

Innovation) University at 9.30 am. Mr. Padmanathan, Senior Professor

had an interaction with the students and talked about the history of

Malaysia.

Interaction with APU university faculties

Mr.Arun seeralan, Lecturer in Faculty of Engineering and

Technology (Origin from India) took a campus visit. First we started

from auditorium of the college at 4 floors. The ambient of the

auditorium and their infrastructure is extraordinary.

Later we were taken to the training area at the G3 where prototypes

of important parts of robot, like arduino, raspberry software tool were

explained in detail by Mr.Arif. Our students had an interaction with the

foreign students from Vietnam and Dubai.

Next we moved to the various department lab and were taken to

the training area where prototypes of important parts of car, propeller etc

were kept for display. The student of their college explained about the

importance of solid works software to mechanical students. The students

will make the own model and gift the model to the university staffs. We

didn’t see the placement cell in the university. The students are insist to

have an internship programme during III year for a period of three

month and placed on their own. APU faculty emphasized the importance

of planning for the project work and research opportunities. The students

gained knowledge about the various working environment.

More than 100 students studying from foreign countries.

Every 6 month - Initiative in syllabus updating.

After lunch we proceeded to industrial visit Proton at 2.30

pm which is major leading Car manufacturers with five star

standards in Malaysia.

Proton aspires to build cars with the highest safety standards.

Reniforced safety structure provides rigidity to protect occupants

in a crash event. Provides maximum protection to occupants and it

gives integrated active safety to drivers including electronics

stability control, ABS with more Horse power. We were taken

through the assembly line .We got an opportunity to see various

engine model in the display section.

Day 3: (10 March –Friday)

We had a tour and workshop at Selangor pewter, traditional

tin manufacturer in Malaysia. The company offers a thousand

tableware, gift items, tea sets and desk accessories. Distributed

worldwide from its base in Kuala lumpur, the company has more

than 40 shop worldwide. It exports more than 20 countries, with

retail outlets in London, Toronto, Melbourne, Mumbai and

Singapore. We were taken to the production line and all the

activities are explained in details. After lunch we proceed to Berly

chocolate manufactures and boutique were the few attractions.

Rest of the day we spent in shopping at Petaling china town.

Day 4: (11March –Saturday)

At 11.30 pm we precede city tour of Malaysia by KL Hop-On

Hop –Off bus. The original double Decker bus one ticket to see all

in 24 hours. The tour goes by the concept which allows ticket

holders to hop on and hop off the bus whenever and wherever

desired at any of tour bus stops. Tour route map were given out to

the visitor the best sight throughout the city of Kuala Lumpur with

23 designated stops and over 70 attractions to visit within the city.

KL towers, Twin tower, Aquaria, Little India are some of the

attraction point we visited.

We proceeded to Kuala Lumpur international airport for our flight

at 9.35 am. We all reached Chennai airport safely at 10.45 am Indian

time.

We are thankful to the Chairman, CEO and the Principal for giving

us permission and valuable tour to take part. We would like to express

our sincere thanks to EDU India to organize this international tour. Our

heartfelt thanks to our chairman for the finical support .We also thank

the Vice principal, HOD’s and staff members of various departments

for encouraging the students to participate in this International students

leadership programme.
