Thank you for choosing Fierce as your cheer home. Fierce is a family owned business ran by professional staff & coaches who are USASF certified. Fierce was established in Rancho Cucamonga in 2004 we started with just 30 kids and have grown to over 300 athletes. We are entering our 11th season. We currently have teams ranging from special needs to levels 1-5. There is NO experience necessary to be a part of the Fierce Family. Our gym is a new 21,000 square foot facility conveniently located near the 10 and 15 freeway in Rancho Cucamonga. All of our teams are highly competitive within their respected divisions. Fierce
staff is VERY disciplined and takes pride in our ability to focus on each athlete as
an individual. Our staff is driven and motivated to achieve their goals. We
encourage strong sportsmanship, positive attitudes and respectful behavior from
our students. Our goal is to provide the best teams possible and to instill life long
memories.

2014 Try Out Schedule
Please review the try out schedule below. Also read below for our try out SKILLS CAMP. The camps are not mandatory but strongly encouraged. This will give the athletes a time to come meet our staff, meet other athletes and get a feel for our gym. This will also help the athletes keep their skills up during the off season weeks. We are very excited to open our arms to you and for you to join the “FIERCE FAMILY”
EVERYONE ages 3-18 makes a team at Fierce! The try out process is stress free, casual and FUN. Each athlete will be evaluated
on their jumps, tumbling & ability to perform choreography. Athletes will be evaluated in a group with the help of our friendly
coaching staff.

Team Placement-
Team placement for each athlete is solely determined by the coaching staff. We try and put teams together by
solid all-around level skills, but please remember putting a team together is like forming a puzzle. Each team needs
great tumblers, strong bases, flexible flyers and amazing performers. The staff will put the pieces to the puzzle
together the best we can. Some athletes will be stronger tumblers than others. Some will contribute to stunting
more than others. Each athlete is placed on a team for a reason. Our teams do very well; please trust our staffs’
decisions on where each child should be placed.
Fierce retains the right to:
Place its athletes on team (s) it feels best suit the program and them.
Decide if an athlete can crossover to another team, and which team that will be.
Decides the role of each athlete, example: base, fly, tumbler, dancer, back spot, alternate etc.
Can request extra classes for athletes, example: tumbling, private or flight class
Determine if a team needs longer practice times or extra practices when necessary
Each athlete will receive a welcome email with their team placement, practice schedule, team tumbling,
welcome party and summer reminders.

USASF ALL STAR PREP HOW WAS ALL STAR PREP CREATED? During the 2012-2013 Season All Star Prep was offered on a trial basis with limited restrictions, thus allowing event producers and gyms to “test” the program and begin gathering information so that we could better understand the needs for this program nationwide. Focus groups were assembled in each of the five USASF geographical regions to discuss a possible structure moving forward. A separate focus group of event producers met to provide feedback as well. All focus group participants were asked to participate in a survey to gather quantitative data to create a proposal that was presented to the Rules Committee. After the Rules Committee discussed and finalized the structure it was presented to and approved by the USASF Board of Directors. ALL STAR PREP All Star Prep is an entry level product that is offered as an introduction to traditional all star cheer and is intended to help gym owners build their program, create revenue, and grow the industry as a whole. The purpose may also include providing a program that allows athletes with limited financial resources to stay in the sport. The typical all star prep programs will provide an opportunity for the incoming athlete to be introduced to and experience all star with limited commitment and exposure. The program that is created by the gym should include a shorter season, limited weekly practices, a lower financial commitment, limited travel, and a uniform that differs from their traditional all star program. Teams entering the all star prep divisions must be affiliated with a USASF member program (see program definition). All athletes must be registered with the USASF in the Athlete ID system accessed through the member program. All Star Prep athletes will not be included in the athlete count to determine gym size (small or large). All Star Prep is NOT a division for teams that represent a school, pop warner or similar recreation-type program. All Star Prep is an all star division and only programs that have declared themselves all star (by joining the USASF as a member program) are permitted to participate in these divisions offered by member event producers. AGE DIVISIONS, RULES & GUIDELINES Routine time limit: Routines may not exceed 2 minutes Crossovers: Crossovers between all star prep and traditional all star is not permitted at the same
event.© 2013 USASF Age Divisions: Tiny Prep Level 1 Mini Prep Level 1 & 2 Youth Prep Level 1, 2 & 3 Junior Prep Level 1, 2 & 3 Senior Prep Level 1, 2 & 3 (all teams are combined female/male - prep teams will not be classified as co-ed, regardless of the number of males on a team) Division Splits (team size): Follow same rules for splitting small & large (that is on the current age grid) Level/Safety Rule Differences from Traditional All Star:
