• No destructive competition among the teaching staff, fostering a positive environment for peer counselling and support
• Staff: all experienced teachers with degrees in ELT, English Language and Literature, or other related departments with Pedagogical Formation certificates, Master’s or PhD degrees, or other certificates in ELT
• Low rate of staff turnover which makes us have a very strong organizational culture
• No in-service training offered until today
• No opportunity to have a professional counseling body (i.e. an expert in dealing with demotivated students in ELT)
• No separate funding specifically allocated to the use of the Foreign Languages Center for professional development
• In-service training specifically tailored to the needs of both the teachers and the students of this school
• Employing a full-time professional with specialised knowledge to assist us in dealing with demotivated students
• Financial and academic support by the
university to encourage us to develop ourselves both personally and professionally
