Rainbow Express Camp is a week-long day camp

sponsored each summer by Matthews UMC Youth

Ministries, in partnership with Rainbow Ministries.

It serves children and teens with special needs

and provides support for their families.

This is a special week full of energy, fun and joy as

we embrace all of God’s children.

Cost: $12 for T-Shirt

This is a relaxing weekend getaway filled with

incredible worship and guest speakers, tons of fun

and adventure, and a chance to meet and hangout

with youth from all around the Western North

Carolina Conference, tons of games, mini golf, and

of course time at the beach!

Cost: $200.00

activities, and transportation)

Come out for a night of fun and craziness. Wear your best neon

colors from head to toe for some cool black light game fun, and of

course don’t forget your cool dance moves for the disco.

7/24/19 - Sherlock Gnomes (6PM – 9PM)

Put your scavenger hunt skills to the test and see if you can capture

the gnome and take him on a photo/video scavenger hunt.

7/31/19 - Cook-Out followed by a

Slip & Slide KickBall Tournament (6PM - 8:00PM)

Come and experience kickball like never before. Bring a friend, play

a crazy game, and have the time of your life.

Bring a beach towel. We ask that youth do not wear

any white clothing.

Truth Matters: “Confident Faith in a Confusing World”

Study for Rising 10th — 12th Graders

Tuesdays, beginning July 16 - August 6

7PM - 8:30PM at MUMC (Room 152)

This study, will help equip youth to be able to defend their faith in a

world that continues to challenge the existence of God and the

validity of His Word.

Youth will develop a confidence to respond to tough questions

that challenge the validity of their beliefs. There will be unique

opportunities for group discussion and personal reflection that will

help youth know they are not alone in defending their faith.

Monday Nights

Regular Session Starting: June 17 - August 5

At MUMC (Room 220)

6:30PM - 7:30PM Beginners Only

(No experience needed; BYO Guitar)

Learn guitar tuning, common chords, strumming, helpful

shortcuts, and easy-to-play praise songs in a no-pressure

environment. This is a great time to learn from

adult and youth mentors.

(BYO Guitar; Keyboards and Cajóns available to borrow)

Come celebrate your faith through music and song.

For youth musicians and vocalists of all skill levels,

interested in learning and playing new and classic

praise and worship songs.

Aspiring Youth Praise Team Members must be

rising 9th - rising 12th graders and participate

in at least 4 summer jam sessions.
