Subject: Assessment of trained candidates by DGE&T under "Seekho aur Kamao (Learn and Earn) - Skill Development scheme, Ministry of Minority Affair - Reg.

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to inform that the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India implements a skill development scheme for minorities namely "Seekho aur Kamao" since 2013-14 through Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) empanelled under the scheme. As per provision of "Seekho aur Kamao", the PIAs are required to establish linkages with institutions recognized by NCVT, which can provide a Certificate/Diploma to the candidates for the trades in which they have been trained.

2. As per the DGET order dated 12.12.2014 for the direct candidate assessment, the concerned Ministry is required to issue the letter to Regional Directorates of Apprenticeship Training (RDATs) to recognize the training centres of PIAs in respective States as Direct

Testing centres.

3. It is,therefore, requested that the training centres of PIAs under your purview may be recognized as Direct Testing Centres when the PIAs approach to RDAT for the purpose of assessing trainees and NCVT certification under the scheme "Seekho aur Kamao (Learn and Earn)" of Ministry of Minority Affairs on priority basis for successful implementation of the scheme/programme. The list of PIAs who have been sanctioned projects, state-wise during 2014-15 for implementation of scheme is enclosed at Annexure.
