DESCRIPTION
This work is not intended as a cultural appropriation of Brazilian music, rather as a genuine tribute to this extremely rich and splendid musical heritage that influence me greatly. Here a collection of Brazilian popular genres arranged for classical string quartet. They were all written between 2009 and 2013. The aim is to blend these popular genres with the Classical quartet structures of the Baroque masters such as Haydn and Vivaldi. These influences were simply a source of inspiration rather than a model to study guided into a contemporary form. The score is free, but give me the whole credits if performed, and, if possible a copy of the recording would be very appreciated indeed for my portfolio.
