PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Here we are producing our last DSV Newsletter for the year! Where did the time go?

If dowsing is new to you, then I urge you to read lots and talk to different people. Some of us run workshops and you can hear about those at our meetings and in our Newsletter. I believe it’s good to listen to others’ opinions and then take on board what seems right to you.

Due to other commitments, Committee member Tony Hill needs to step away from his role as our Sound/video Engineer. We are so blessed for all he’s done for us over the years. Our thanks to Stefan Bock for volunteering to take it on. It is such an important position and again we feel lucky indeed.

Recently I was able to enlighten two lovely ladies when I was on DSV banking business. They had never heard of dowsing, not even dowsing for water. Most people have usually heard of divining or dowsing as the method farmers have used for centuries to find water. Quite often people recall stories of an old friend or relative who used dowsing. Naturally I left the two at the bank with details about our DSV website. Hopefully they’ll want to learn more.

Are you able to leave some of our DSV Newsletters in a wellbeing shop or a library that’s convenient to you? Somewhere which is likely to attract interest. Please let us know.

Heather Wilks, our Vice-President, will present at the November meeting. She’ll address the stresses of Christmas and help us to find ways to make it a time of more peace, more abundance in

every way. This will be a very interesting talk. I hope you can be there.

Meanwhile, I’d like to formally wish you a wonderful Christmas and holiday time. (A gentle reminder that all memberships are due for renewal at the February meeting.)

Lyn Wood, President

OUR NEXT MEETING

For our next meeting on Sunday 27 November, Heather Wilks your friendly Editor and Vice-President will take to the floor. The subject will be “Releasing Christmas Stress”.

I’ll be presenting on Pendulum Dowsing and

FasterEFT-style tapping to help overcome stress. I find that tapping combines wonderfully well with dowsing. (It is an especially good way to help people develop confidence about having the ability to dowse and trusting their dowsing outcomes.)

The two together provide a fabulous way to deal with stress, whether it’s physical, mental or emotional. Christmas is a time with many shades of stress. There’s the stress of Christmases past. The stress of family dynamics. The stress of all the arrangements. Gifts can be a source of stress. All the planning that goes into cooking during this time of celebrations can be a reason for stress. Food itself, particularly around who is eating what these days. Money is an obvious one. It’s a time when abundance is so much on show, yet for many it’s a fearful time of not having enough, being too steeped in credit card debt and so on. Planning the actual holidays themselves can often be stressful. Who’s coming? Who’s not?

So I invite you to bring along a list of all of the topics that are creating stress you. Let’s unite together to dowse, tap and transform them. So that we are indeed ready to welcome in the true spirit of Christmas. Together we can maximize our Intentions to make Christmas 2016 Happy, Healthy and truly Abundant, in everyway possible.

OUR LAST MEETING

For our last meeting in October, six DSV Members shared their specialised knowledge of dowsing at our “Tables for Training & Inspiration Day”. People moved from table to table, picking up gems of information to take away and incorporate into their own dowsing practices.

Fred Ward – Map Dowsing

EXCITING BYRON BAY CONFERENCES, JANUARY 2017

Mick Turner drowned as his full head helmet for deep sea diving started to fill with water. He was dead for at least 10 minutes before his team got to him, putting his lifeless body into a decompression chamber where he spent two days before making a recovery. During that time he had an experience that convinced him that our consciousness continues after physical death and it has been driving him to explore the subject ever since. Together, with Kathryn Hand, a Past Life Regression therapist and Life Between Lives therapist, they organise consciousness conferences in Australia. These are journeys of self-discovery. (Kathryn gave a talk about Life Between Lives at the NSW Dowsers’ Meeting in January this year).

Mick’s first conference was the Afterlife Explorers Conference three years ago – looking for answers to help him understand his own near-death experience. He had two winged angels escort him through the tunnel. He felt the immense sense of love and peace that many people feel in near-death or when they have a Life Between Lives experience. He also became aware that it was not his time to ‘go home’ and he had a job to do. At the time he didn’t know what it was – but it seems he has now found it! That conference was such a success and, with nothing else like it in Australia, it has grown to its third year.

The 2017 dates are 13 & 14 January (Afterlife Explorers Conference) and 15 & 16 January (Close Encounters Conference).

These delightful posters are always popular. Great to keep or to give as a gift. Stocks will be limited, so first in first served.

PLANT SPIRIT GARDENER

A new book from Alanna Moore, just published 1 November 2016.

In her latest book on ‘divine gardening’, there is plenty of down-to-earth esoteric wisdom from Alanna Moore, an Australian-Irish professional geomancer with over 30 years experience. Everything a sensitive gardener needs to know to profoundly connect with Mother Nature is here, from the ancient art of dowsing (also called divining) to its application to gardening, improving the feng shui and co-creating with the devas - the fairy kingdom. With 206 pages, it is richly illustrated with 106 all colour photographs, there are also eleven invaluable dowsing charts and nine diagrams.

The DSV hopes to have copies of Alanna Moore’s new book in stock in time for the meeting on 27 November 2016 (Ed.)

DSV RECORDINGS NOW ON DVD We have many earlier speakers available on CD and recently in 2016 have been providing DVDs instead:

The earlier CDs from our various presentations are available at meetings for $5 each. The new DVDs are available for just $10. Great to give as a gift, or to purchase for yourself if you missed a speaker you particularly wanted to hear.

FULGARITES

There has been a flurry of interest by some on the DSV Committee since I shared information emailed to me from South Australian dowser, Jim Matthews. (Ed.)

Jim has been an avid collector of rocks and gemstones since he was a toddler. He’d always wondered about them. How they formed the shapes, why they looked such stunning creations. He began looking “into” rocks, searching to find more. Then he came across Fulgurites and started collecting them.

If you are interested in buying a Fulgurite, please contact Jim in December when he’ll return home. You can email him: [email protected]
