Call for Papers
“Great innovations should not be forced on slender majorities”…………….Thomas Jefferson.
Indeed, it is those few with great ideas who make all the difference to the world we live in
today. “Innovation” is what distinguishes a leader from followers. It is also a great leveler,
as no particular entity has a monopoly over it or is endowed with a greater ability to
innovate.
As the world gets more connected, businesses are getting increasingly competitive.
Access to capital is easier, Human Resources are more mobile, Technology has done away
with several barriers to business, greater availability of information has made customers
more sophisticated and environmental sustainability has assumed much greater
proportion in business decisions.
In such a scenario, to stay relevant and profitable, businesses world over have to
constantly re-think their business models to tweak their products, services, delivery and
internal processes. However, this is easier said than done. To make matters complex, in
the context of business, Innovation that is not profitable or sustainable may not find
takers.
What the KIIT School of Management National Management Convention on
the “Business of Innovation” aims
to do is:
• Shed more light oninnovations that makes
sense in the current business
landscape

The Temple City of Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa, is a city nestled amidst a myriad of temples and lush
greenery. While it is a planned cosmopolis offering all modern amenities including Star
hotels, several quality eating joints, shopping malls and more, it also offers a spectacular
view of the world gone by, boasting of exquisite temples such as Rajarani and Lingaraj,
dating back to as much as 11th Century.
While the caves at Khandagiri and Udaygiri would serenade you with their poetry in
stone, the Nandankanan zoo, one of the biggest homes for the awe-inspiring white tigerswould leave you wanting for more. The world-heritage Konark Temple, Puri sea beach
and the Puri Shri Jagannath Temple are only an hour and half’s drive from the city.
