The NMAI cares for one of the world's most expansive collections of Native artifacts, including objects, photographs, archives, and media representing the entire Western Hemisphere, from the Arctic Circle to Tierra del Fuego. The museum on the National Mall opened its doors in 2004 to celebrate the culture, art, and history of Native peoples. Permanent exhibitions include Nation to Nation: Treaties Between the United States and American Indian Nations, The Great Inka Road: Engineering an Empire, and Americans.

The Potomac Atrium Seating Capacity: 300 | Standing Capacity: 600

Guests enter the museum into the Potomac Atrium, which, at 100 feet in diameter and four stories high, is the museum’s main event space. The Potomac celebrates contemporary Native culture and offers a place for receptions and seated dinners.

Third Floor OverlookStanding Capacity: 150

The Third Floor Overlook is an ideal setting for a cocktail reception and allows guests the opportunity to explore two of the museum's galleries, Americans and The Great Inka Road.

A reception on the Fourth Floor Overlook offers guests access to private lounge spaces, sweeping views of the National Mall, and the galleries and Nation to Nation: Treaties Between the Our Universes

The National Museum of the American Indian–New York, George Gustav Heye Center, is located within the historic Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House.
