You can have the "??" because you are not using the correct NLS_LANG when using SQLPLUS or TOAD

What I would like to know if you have the issue inside the E-business Suite.

1. Please upload an E-business Suite screen shot having the same issue.

2. upload the patch log file for 12.1.3 Arabic language

What we can do for menus showing ???? mark for all arabic letters

Standard reports having no issue with arabic.

But why we have ???? in menu option for language AR.. we applied Financial , SCM and procurement family packsinstead of upgrading whole R12.1.3 suite.


Let me get this from Functional team and specific forms having issue with.

1. Does the issue occurs in the E-business SuitePlease upload a screen shot of the E-business Suite.

2. You character set is UTF8

Did you migrate to this character set ? or it was the same character set at the time of the installation

3. Do this same sql :

from unix :source your apps environment

select user_menu_name from fnd_menus_tl where language='AR'

what is the result

4. upload the patch log file for 12.1.3 Arabic language

3. upload a screen shot of the issue

4. upload your xml context files for database and apps tier

5. go to Unixsource you R12 environment fileenv > env.lst

upload the env.lst file generated

Just to summarise again, my arabic letters are displayes as "??????" everywhere in oracle tables. I followed thedocument 1080973.1 applied all patches successfully. then i applied NLS transation patch 13843966 for F and AR
