The Nine Lives Associates (N.L.A.) are a select group of individuals who share a unique training experience through attendance,participation and successful completion of the program entitled "Providing Executive Protection." This special program, providedby the Executive Protection Institute, emphasizes advanced skills and techniques for the protection of others and personal survival.The common understanding, skills and fellowships developed under conditions of stressful realism translate into a permanent andexclusive professional association. Members recognize each other worldwide by the distinctive Black Cat lapel pin, whichsymbolizes the Association's quest for a unique level of professional excellence.

The purpose of the Nine Lives Associates (N.L.A.) is to advance the art, science and actual processes of providing personalprotection. The Association affirms its responsibility to develop and strengthen the spirit of professionalism within its membershipand to increase, by example, awareness of ethical principles in protective services.

As a member of the Nine Lives Associates (N.L.A), I commit to promoting the purpose of the Association and to the pursuitof professional excellence. I recognize that my performance as a Personal Protection Specialist is as important as any goal I mayaccomplish or any task I may complete.
