Career CenterThe online career center is the perfect tool for finding theright talent for your organization, or for finding the next stopon your career path. Members can post job openings intoa variety of categories, and specify their desired qualifications. Additionally, members, including studentmembers, can create, update, and share personal resumesthat are searchable by hiring companies.

Certified Nursery LandscapeProfessionalThe CNLP Program strives to improve the professionalstandards of green industry businesses and professionalsby promoting the continuing education and training of allnursery, landscape and garden center staff, including ownersand employees.

Landscape Awards ProgramThe Annual NJNLA Landscape Awards Program allowsmembers the opportunity to submit projects and showcasetheir work at our annual awards banquet attended by greenindustry professionals. The awards program is intended togrow our industry and recognize individuals that excel in thelandscape design profession. The awards program is anexcellent opportunity to build your portfolio with award winningprojects and market your abilities to potential clients. Winningprojects will also have press releases and be displayed at theNew Jersey Flower and Garden Show and NJ Plants TradeShow. The Grand Award winner is also featured on the cover ofthe NJNLA Membership Directory.

Membership CategoriesThere are a variety of categories that industry professionalsand suppliers can join within the association. All members arerequired to agree and adhere to the compliance statement aspart of the membership application. 2017 pricing subject tochange.

• Individual (Associate) - $95

This level is for individuals who are aligned with the industry(i.e. landscape architects, landscape designers, mastergardeners, consultants, arborists), and industry professionalswhose company is not a member of the association.

• Company (Active) - $295

This is the preferred and largest membership category of theassociation. Membership features and benefits extend to allemployees of the company and the greatest amount of controlis given to manage profiles and directory listings.

• Allied - $350

This is specifically for businesses that supply goods or servicesto the nursery, landscape, or garden center industry in New Jersey.

Customized and Searchable OnlineDirectoriesOne of the most valuable aspects of membership in theNJNLA is being recognized as a professional and leaderin the industry. All members are required to agree tocomply, as appropriate and to the best of their ability,with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidelinesand best management practices. Our online membersearches help homeowners and professionals alike findthe quality products and services they deserve.

One of the key services NJNLAprovides to its members is the communication of timelyand interesting industry information, including governmentaffairs updates. The association works to improve theworking environment for all industry professionals.

Online Community and FeaturesThe Association website, www.njnla.org, hosts a rangeof online community groups where members can interactwith other professionals, seek advice from peers, share ideas,and become thought leaders. Online communities include:•Committee: NJNLA committees use the online resourcesto communicate and manage the work of the association.

• Industry Segment: Growers, Landscape Professionals,Garden Centers and Re-wholesaler each have theirown space to collaborate online.

•Communities: Certified Nursery Landscape Professionals,the Women’s Landscape Alliance, and the YoungProfessionals communities are just the start of whatis possible for online communities.

Each online community can host forums, blogs, share newsand events, and message other group members. NJNLA stillhosts plenty of in person, on-site meetings, but theseonline communities serve to strengthen member connectionsand improve the knowledge base of the industry.

Events and MeetingsCertain membership categories are eligible for discountswhen they and their employees attend certain NJNLAevents. In addition to regular chapter meetings, NJNLAhosts several conferences for different industry segmentsthroughout the year.

Notice Of AcceptanceAll applications will be reviewed for completion by the NJNLA office toensure new members, are compliant with the NJNLA by-laws. Applicationreview may take up to one week, but more often sooner. In the event anapplicant is denied membership, the applicant may appeal the decision tothe board of directors.
