Why Driver Education?

Concepts we will learn:
• VISIBILTY, TIME, SPACE• How your personality, emotions, and maturity affect your
driving• How to maneuver and control your vehicle• How alcohol and other drugs impair your ability to drive
and knowledge of penalties• How to interpret traffic laws, rules of the road, signs,
signals, and markings• How a vehicle works• How to handle an emergency
situation
In the United States, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for people
ages 16 – 24 years old.
