Follow our simple steps in preparation, installation and care to ensure that you achieve the best result. We recommend that a Nilaya trained installer is used to obtain our guaranteed quality nish.

Before you paste your wall covering, the wall needs to be prepared. For a wall with paint in poor condition, follow the process as below:

Priming and Levelling

For Priming, apply one coat of Asian Paints Decoprime Wall Primer to the desired surface where Wall covering needs to be installed.

For Levelling, apply one coat of Asian Paints Acrylic Wall Putty to level the surface as required. For greater undulations, level your walls with wall levellers.

Sealing

Apply one coat of Asian Paints Exterior Sealer to the levelled surface as recommended.

Check the instruction on your wall covering and apply one coat of Asian Paints Nilaya Premium Wall Covering Adhesive, a water based glue with superior anti-microbial properties, as directed behind the wall covering or on the surface as mentioned on the wall covering.

Installation

So care for your wall coverings and they will reward you with endless beauty, and eternal simplicity.These instructions should be followed for most wall coverings including paintables, which after installation, should be painted with 2 coats of Asian Paints Royale or Royale Play Metallics, using a roller.

On the other hand, decals can simply be peeled from their housing and pasted.

1. Hang the rst strip using a plumb line to get a perfect vertical.

2. Hang subsequent strips relative to the rst strip, matching pattern as required.

3. Smoothen out all bubbles using Nilaya Wall Covering Smoother or Smart Care Roller as required.

Daily Care

Nilaya Wall Coverings can be cleaned with a dry sponge or as indicated on your wall covering inserts.

Peeling Off

If a wall covering is peeling, it can be set right with suitable application of Nilaya Premium Wall Covering Adhesive.

However, in case of an inherent moisture problem, the source of the moisture seepage must be addressed to offer a permanent solution.

The warranty covers adhesion failure of the wall covering. This means that when used correctly with the right surface preparation and the recommended Nilaya adhesive, we guarantee that the wall covering shall not peel off for a period of three years.

However, please ensure that the wall surface is completely ready and free from moisture before the Nilaya installation starts. Refer to the Nilaya installation instructions on the exact steps. This is an important step, because the performance of the wall covering is directly linked to the quality of surface preparation.

Please note that each of the Nilaya wall coverings are produced for a limited period of time only. So it is likely that the exact colour or pattern that you have selected may not be available in the future. And in the unlikely case that any major repairs are required, we will try and help you with a new choice or one closest to your existing one.

We recommend that you keep any material left over after installation safely, so that minor repairs can be done without procuring new material.
