Reception to follow presentation. Dr. Lane is a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society for which she composed and recorded the song “We Can Cope.” In 1994 she received honorary membership into the Oncology Nursing Society, the highest honor the group confers. She has been a consultant at several well-known organizations, including the Mayo Clinic, the National Department on Aging, and Sesame Street. In the spring she will be lecturing at the U.S. Library of Congress. She has been interviewed on National Public Radio, CBS This Morning, Wall Street Journal TV, and ABC World News with Peter Jennngs, to name only a few. Dr. Lane’s work is distinguished by her ability to empathize with her clients, partly stemming from her own personal struggle with cancer. We cordially invite you to spend an evening with Dr. Lane as she illustrates her work as a music therapist through video, music, and her presence. You will leave the presentation full of inspiration.
