Wild Oats Record: “Wild Oats XI claimed a record eight Sydney to Hobart line -honour victories, despite the entry of newer super maxis into the race. After strategic positioning together with the pilot, I was able to capture the Cape Raoul, Tasmania, in the foreground.” Brett Costello

Rugby Rain: “In April 2015 I covered a Monday night NRL match between the Cronulla Sharks and South Sydney. A large low pressure system engulfed Sydney with torrential rain and wind gusts of up to 100km/h. The atrocious conditions forced the NRL to consider calling the game off due to player safety. Shooting this game would prove to be one of the most challenging in my 17 years as a professional photographer. ” Brett Costello
