i find that it is interesting that she set up tent hospitals during the civil war.

florence nightingale wanted to be a nurse but her family did not want her to because it was JOb poorer people did and since florence was rich it was considered improper.

I think it is unfair that she couldn't be a nurse even then she wanted to be one.

in 1854 in tUrkey florence nightingale bought almost all the supplies at scutari army hospital and even bought almost 100 beds with her own money because she thought it was good for the men. she even cleaned the whole hospital herself.

i think that was really nice because before it had been bloody and slimy. she really cared about the soldiers.

floRence decided that she would live the life she wanted even if it meant to disobey her family. at age 24 she decided to be a nurse.

i think it was brave because she was really rich and being a nurse was the worst job back then especially if you were rich.

florence worked in Crimea during the Civil War and set up tent hospitals for soldiers who needed help right away.

I think it was dangerous for her because she could get killed and then the other nurses might go back and then the soldiers wouldn't have anybody to care for them and they would die and her family would be sad.

WHEN FLORENCE WAS 16 YEARS OLD, AT HER SUMMER HOME, SHE THOUGHT SHE HEARD THE VOICE OF GOD AND HE WANTED HER TO BE A NURSE AND HELP THE SICK. LATER, SHE DECIDED SHE WAS GOING TO BE A NURSE EVEN IF HER FAMILY DIDN'T WANT HER TO BE ONE.

I THINK IT WAS A GOOD CHOICE TO BE A NURSE AND HELP THE SICK BECAUSE SHE ENDED UP MAKING HOSPITALS A BETTER PLACE BY PUTTING FLOWERS AND WINDOWS AND BEDS IN HOSPITALS AND BEING A CHANGE MAKER.

florence nightingale kept trying to figure out and make it so the soldiers didn't die in the hospitals. finally she figured out that the sewage pipes were clogged and that it was poisoning the water.

i think it was scary for the soldiers because probably when they saw the other people dying they thought they were going to die but some of them didn't.

i read that florence made it so all hospitals are comfortable and nice and clean and more welcome to everybody because before it had been badly run.

i think it is bad that for so many years hospitals were slimy and most of the poor people went to them because they couldn't afford to pay doctors to come to them but now everybody can go to hospitals.

once the soldiers had recovered they needed something to do. most of them drank whiskey and got sick all over again so she taught them to sing and do plays for other people.

i think it would have been fun to watch them sing and do plays because it is really hard to do that if you have a broken bone or are sick.

PERSEVERED WHEN...florence persevered when she kept trying to make it so the soldieirs didn't die in the hospitals because the dying rate was really high.
