NIGEL BARKERFASHION PHOTOGRAPHER

d Born in London of English and Sri Lankan decent on 7 April 1972. He is a Fashion Photographer and former model and he is best know for being both Judge and Photographer on America’s next top model. Most of his amazing pictures generate from there. He himself was a great model because his mother was a model and didn’t want to waste his good look so she put him in a modeling competition as a young boy on the Clothes show and interestingly enough he won and from then on he decided to quit medicine and go on to do things in the fashion world which for him included an interest in modeling and photography.

This Picture is so nice and I just love the rule of thirds used here and the way her arms are twisted and she just looks like she is popping up out of nothingness. I love it and I saw this episode so I know he had to use good lighting and a fast shutters peed I believe to not loose the look because she kept moving.

Nigel does what ever he needs to get into a shot and get where he Needs to get amazing picture results even if his model is cooperating and I just love his style and the pictures he can capture. I love how the shadow of her face reflects off the water. And the fog around the water makes her look eerie and mysterious

He takes outrageous different things that are full of so much life and yet makes something stand out with the lighting and bold colors. This girl was basically just plastered with feathers an colors. He used outside light sources such as lamps and Everything is pretty much in focus I feel like he didn’t need much light in the camera’s lense to get this picture so he Didn’t much have to tweak with anything. I also feel as if the all green back ground is left behind in contrast with the fact that she is covered is vibrant colors that stick out and draw the viewer in to her then all of her surroundings to see what's going on.

I honestly love this picture I also saw thisSeason I took a lot or time and effortFor Nigel to get her to calm down because on her hand is a real tarantula and this to me says he is an amazing photographer because he caught so much emotion in this picture yet didn’t get any of her fear portrayed there and he takes risky and daring pictures and I’ve never seen anything like it. I do have to admit I don’t like how black the background is and there could be some better lighting but over all I think he did pretty well.

This is one of his more normal pictures Its pretty plain but it was taken somewhere not in the United states I believe and the lighting was already Great so no artificial light was needed So he probably shot at a lower aperture it didn’t need to be a high if the light was good. I love the Background the waves look so pretty and its plain and blue water. The waves in a way can act as leading lines to draw me into the picture and towards the model Danielle. I fell like the color of her bathing suit against her complexion also is a focal point because it draws me into the picture so I look at her as well.

This picture looks as if its sort of awkward and lanky I mean I cant even seen this girls shoulders. I think the stuff all over her face looks interesting and its what draws the viewer into the picture and since its pink and she has blue eyes I was drawn in to look at her eyes as well because that are looking straight at the camera so you feel as if she is looking at you. Her innocent expression looks so natural and like she is just zoning out and wasn’t staged and I don’t think it was. I love the composition and how the back ground is plain so that no colors are mixing and messing up the foreground of the picture. He probably used a lower shutter speed and some artificial lighting which he tends to use when indoors in poorly lighted areas. He had to get real tight in for this picture and I just absolutely love it.

This one is a little more risqué and out there I mean the girl is practically naked, but I love it. It is very simple and just all white even her hair makes it pretty bland and white but her skin color draws you in because you know there is something elsein the picture and the position she is in makes you follow the line of her body leading you up into the center of the photo by her feet. I love the Leading lines in this photo and the perfect exposure which must have been made possible by some external lighting sources. I also like the leading lines demonstrated by the dark bed frame in an all white area that lead me to look at the models face and see the expression there.

I Choose this picture because unlike all of the other pictures I found that Nigel took this one is of an animal and I just love it. The way the seal is looking right at the camera and it just makes me go awwww because he looks sad and he is so darn cute. I love the composition of this photo, how its not all white but not all sky and how its innevitable that he got down on the seals level and got dirty to take this picture to raise awareness for the safe help abnd caring of these poor animals. I just love this picture so much its sinmple and to the point and there is not much going on so it perfect.
