DESCRIPTION

In this introductory write up on Nifty Options Trading Strategy, we are initiating with a roundup of the current market scenario. Currently both the sentiment indicators the Volume and OI PCR seem to suggest a benign trading environment. The INdia VIX is trading at all time historical low levels and hence volatility is only expected to rise from current levels. If one were to consider seasonality of the volatility September is the time when the volatility tends to spike. So keeping the seasonality trends and current low readings we would be in favour of volatility buying strategies and refrain from undertaking any option selling strategies. Directionally the market is in a firm uptrend and probability of an acceleration of the move is a strong possibility. However extremely low volatility readings can spring nasty surprises and to ward off against an unexpected break down in trend protection can be bought by going long cheap OTM 7700 puts.
