The first pieces of data found on computers were in monographs and encyclopedias.
In the early days the most significant computing tool was known as the Abacus. This lead to the evolution of computers.

There are 4 types of storage : 1. Primary storage which is also known as memory, is the only one that is open to the CPU.
2.Secondary storage also known as storage popular usage is different from primary storage because it is not accessible to by the CPU.
3.Tertiary storage is also known as the large tape library.
4.The last storage section is the off-line storage also known as disconnected storage.

Random Access Memory
The most important part of the computer is the Ram which is known as Random Access Memory. Ram is something you can never have enough of and it takes control of speed in which if your computer responds slowly then all you need to do is add more ram to increase the speed.

Read Only Memory
The total opposite of ram is Rom which is known as the Read Only Memory. They are memory chips which store information that cannot be changed. The main part of the computer that holds some Rom chips is the motherboard.

Wireless mice use radio frequency to transfer information from the mouse and over to the computer.
There are 3 different types of wireless mice that have been created :1.Mechanical2.Optical3.Laser

Wireless KeyboardThe keyboard requires four AA batteries and has an on and off switch to save the batteries from running out and going dead. The wireless keyboard works like the wireless mouse using radio frequency to transfer the information from the keyboard and into the computer.

Desktop Computers
The most popular computer that is used today is the desktop computer which are commonly used in schools, and offices, or at home. This is because they are the most affordable.

The next creation that was formed from the computer is known as laptops.
Laptops usually have liquid crystal displays and use different memory space for different things.
They are smaller computers that weigh less, and they are able to be carried around.

The generation of computers is still evolving everyday and new things are being created all the time, every time we turn around. The fifth generation of computers will soon be created involving robotics and computer networks.
