The Soviet Union was the firststate to have, as anideological objective, theelimination of religion and itsreplacement with universalatheism.

It was rumored that Anastasia was Nicholas II’sdaughter, but that was proven wrong. Anastasia was abeautiful cleaning lady.

Many Russians felt that Rasputin and Alexandra wererunning the war behind the scenes instead of theGrand Duke Nicholas (Tsar)and his military advisors.

Nicholas II’s religion is the Russian Orthodox

Believed in autocracy

The two main religions in Russia were Muslim and Orthodox

Nicholas got the nickname Nicholas the Bloody because of his rule being characterized by war and civil unrest.

Nicholas did not work with other countries, which may have been one of the causes for the start of World War I.

By spring 1917 the Romanov family was no longer in rule due to the growing influence of Gregory Rasputin.
